The choir "Antonio Valbuena" of León, founded in 1985 by Romualdo
Barrera Garzon *, performed last Saturday at the fourteenth shows coral San Andrés del Rabanedo held in the Pavilion 'Camino de Santiago " of Trobajo. The 46 young singers, aged between seven and thirteen, shared billing with Heriberto Coral Ampudia, the Polyphonic San Juan Bautista and The Annunciation. The next year, the choir will meet its first 25 years of existence, "an event of emergency for which we are very proud," says Barrera. Over two and a half decades have been numerous concerts and tours the choir has performed throughout Spain and Europe, in countries as emblematic as Austria, Italy, France, Portugal and Denmark. And if there are many actions carried out, not far behind the awards. "It is worth noting the first prize in the Seventh Exhibition of Valladolid scholae we achieved in 1993, first prize at the Fifth Exhibition of Torrevieja Habanera in 1999 or a second prize in the National Contest of carols and polyphony of the Village of Rojales in 1997, "including its director. ---
