Valleys Project Starts Valgo CUValles

El Centro Universitario de los Valles based Ameca, Jalisco, launched the Valleys Project Valgo seeking to provide the entire population of the region, education for life and the work they generate better socioeconomic conditions.
This project involves both academic students, scholars, researchers and society in general, is supported by the governments of the 14 municipalities that make up this region and the state government, which was requested devote a special item in the budget of the organization, said the rector of the school, Monica Almeida.
The first stage of the project is to strengthen and enhance four skills of learning among students and the general public such as reading comprehension, mathematical thinking, information management through technology and mastery of other languages, for which has already been established the Center for Foreign Languages in CUValles.
This will create the basis for transmit and multiply their knowledge in their communities of origin so they can promote productive projects to improve the social, environment and health, optimizing resources .
This scheme creates a spiral development will continue in the next stages of the project will be focused on generating benefits to rural areas, the effective use of natural resources and environment, in addition to managing and improving the health of the population in this region of Jalisco.
This initiative expected to come to the university community for support on specific issues that affect their environment, causing the interaction between society and the university.
"This fully assumes the role CUValles social, extension and dynamic process interregional development with the ability to establish new ways of cooperation between stakeholders and communities in the region, "said the rector.
